Learning Objectives
Upon completion of meeting, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the scientific rationale and clinical trial data for new and emerging treatments of retinal disease including dry age-related macular degeneration and wet age-related macular degeneration.
- Evaluate the benefits, potential risks, and clinical role of new treatments for dry age-related macular degeneration and wet age-related macular degeneration.
- Identify the current advances and use of gene therapy for the treatment of retinal disease including dry age-related macular degeneration and wet age-related macular degeneration.
- Describe the recent advances in the surgical treatment of retinal disease including dry age-related macular degeneration and wet age-related macular degeneration.
Target Audience
The target audience for this event is retina specialists (in practice) and ophthalmologists in training (residents and fellows); ophthalmologists with interest in retina.
